Características
There are two versions:
- Model 101 with P7 electrode, for pressures up to 500 psi and laser marked PVDF tape.
- Model 101 with P2 electrode, is characterized because the electrode is easy to repair, and the polyethylene tape is heat stamped.
Probe P7 Probe P2
Probe 101 with P7 electrode is waterproof up to 300m. The sensor is at the tip of the electrode, reliable measurements and near zero displacement.

The PVDF tape has laser marking. Each conductor has 13 stainless steel wires. and 6 copper wires covered in steel, which avoids elongation, tensile strength and electrical efficiency. The tape’s raised sides prevent sticking to wet surfaces and allow it to lie straight in the hole.
Probe 101 with P2 electrode has the sensor protected to reduce or eliminate false readings in cascaded wells. With stainless steel body and neoprene seal. It is not designed to be submerged at significant depths.

Tape lengths
Model 101 P7 and P2 are available on reels, in the following standard lengths:
- Small reel: 30 *, 60 *, 100 *
- Medium reel: 150 *, 250 *, 300 *
- Large reel: 400, 500, 600 (while supplies last)
* Polyethylene tapes are only available in these lengths.
Optional
- Motorized reel: Very useful to allow faster and less effortful operation with long belts. It is available upon request in 110V or 12VDC.
- Carrying case: As an option, small and medium padded nylon cases are offered. They have a strap, a front pocket, a zipper lid and at the bottom they have ventilation to prevent moisture from accumulating.
Funcionamiento
The Model 101 is supplied with corrosion resistant stainless-steel electrodes connected to the flat ribbon with permanent markings, mounted on a balanced reel. Powered by 9-volt battery.
The probes have an isolated space between the electrodes. Upon contact with water, the circuit is completed, and the audible and light alarms are activated. The water level is determined by taking the reading directly on the tape at the head of the hole or borehole.
A sensitivity control reduces or turns off the audible alarm in cascaded wells, while ensuring a clear signal in high or low conductivity conditions.
Reel
Balanced reel with transport handle and probe holder. Ergonomic design for easy use. Robust, rotates easily. With 9V battery located in a tray on the front plate, easy to access and quick to change. Equipped with on / off sensitivity switch, light and sound alarms, battery test button, brake and tape guide attached to the frame.
P7 electrode
The P7 electrode is submersible up to 1000 feet (300m), therefore it can be used to measure the total depth of the well under ideal conditions. The sensor is at the tip of the electrode, providing consistent measurements and near zero displacement. The design of the coupling to the tape allows the electrode to be changed quickly if required. Tape in PVDF
Laser Marked the Model 101 P7 is supplied with an extremely durable tape made of PVDF, according to verifiable NIST and EU measurement standards. Each conductor has 13 strands of stainless steel and 6 strands of steel-clad copper. This combination ensures that the tape does not undergo elongation, provides tensile strength, and is also electrically efficient. The robust bone-shaped design prevents adherence to wet surfaces and allows it to hang straight in wells. The tape is easy to splice. The 3/8 “(10mm) tape has permanent laser markings every 1/100 of a foot or every millimetre, and lengths up to 5000 feet (1500m). LM3: Meters and centimetres: with markings every mm.
